National Forensic Sciences University offers a One-year part-time Post Graduate Diploma in Investigative Psychology program at Gandhinagar campus. The chronological order of the course commences from understanding theoretical causes of crime to practical criminal investigations and applying theory for intervention and investigation of Crime. The goal of this course is to explain the causal factors of criminal/deviant behavior and to understand the application of Investigative Psychology in criminal investigations. The course also emphasizes on the legal system in India and presentation of psychological evidences in Court. It’s a combination of faculty lectures, assignments and case studies presentation by students. Additionally, students will have practical sessions in the form of laboratory experiments related to investigative techniques described in the syllabus.
